Story

Hi there!

In 2019 I am challenging myself and hiking the rugged and magnificent Larapinta Trail, including a 3am climb up Mt Sonder, in the heart of Australia and raising at least $500 for Dementia Australia.

Why? Last year my darling father passed away after suffering from Dementia, I miss him all the time. I am raising money for Dementia Australia so we can spread the message about this illness and help support others. I also want to physically and mentally challenge myself by doing this hike through a timeless and arid landscape, camping out in the desert and pushing my boundaries with a pre-dawn hike up Mt Sonder (1379m).

Please support my efforts by making a secure online donation and by posting a message of support.

Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly through to my charity of choice.

Thanks so much for your support! smiley

Dementia Australia

Dementia Australia is a unified, national peak body for people, of all ages, living with all forms of dementia, and their families and carers. We provide advocacy, support services, education and information, as well as fundraise and facilitate research into dementia.

We aim to give people living with Dementia the respect they deserve and the support they need. We advocate to government and industry on behalf of people living with dementia, their carers and families and work hard to raise community awareness and understanding of dementia. Please visit www.dementia.org.au to access a wide range of resources and how to contact our National Dementia Helpline.

Community support through donations and sponsorship, as well as bequests, is vital to the continuation and growth of our work.
